Case Study
When your body enters a fasted state, it burns off it’s glycogen stores (usually after around 16 hours) and then switches to burning off it’s fat stores for energy – in particular, the toxic abdominal fat that is stored around the organs. This is where most of the weight loss effects come from after doing a fast.
I feel as though my system has been cleared out and restored. I’m intrigued to see if gaining some more lean muscle mass will be easier due to the improved function of my digestive system. Afterall, if your body is not effectively absorbing the nutrients that you are eating, then very little can be gained from your training sessions.
